• In one pivotal scene, the show’s host tells Jamal his own story about coming from the slums. He then gives Jamal the wrong answer written on the mirror in the rest room. Why did he give Jamal the wrong answer? What did Jamal do?
The host gave Jamal the wrong answer because he didn't want anyone else to be like him; a person that comes from the deepest of the streets and gets rich from one day to another. He also thinks that the center of the show must be him and not Jamal.
Eventhough the host left the answer written on the mirror, Jamal didn't believe him because he was already doubting from before the hosts interest on Jamals victory. After that, Jamal didn't choosed the letter "B" and he won.
• In the final scene, we see Salim and the choice he makes - filling the bathtub with money, etc. Why does he make this choice?
He makes this choice because he realices that when his boss finds out that he helped Lutika, he would never forgive him and he would probably kill him. Salim preffered to fill the bathtub with money and sit on it to feel de feeling on having all the money that he could never had.
• This film weaves together nightmare and impossible dream. What do you take away as the most important message or impression from the film?
I think that the most important messeage that this film gives is the showing of how far can I boy go in the pursuit of what he really wants and not only a boy, everybody can have the same possibilities as Jamal and even more because he barely had a chance.
