HAI GUISE!

Hi guys.

HI, BILLY MAYS HERE! HAVE YOU EVER ENCOUNTERED TOUGH GRASS STAINS, BLOOD STAINS, COFFEE STAINS THAT EVEN OXYCLEAN COULDN'T LIFT?! OR IN THE RESTROOM, HAVE YOU NOTICED SOAP SCUM AND RING-AROUND-THE-TOILET LEFT BEHIND BY KABOOM AND ORANGE GLOW?! WELL NO NEED TO FRET, AS I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO TAKE THE HASSLE OUT OF ALL THESE CHORES; ALL-NEW 'LIQUID DOOM'!

ALSO, YOU GUYS MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

For your 2nd Partial Project, you will write either a process, a division/classification, or a cause and effect essay (at least 4 paragraphs long, each paragraph must have at least 4 sentences). You will also create a poster about your essay. For example, if you do a process paragraph, you can do a poster illustrating the steps in your process (you can use drawings or photos, it's fine). . Use your creativity and imagination, you'll do just fine. In your essay, remember to follow the usual rules (indentation, underline thesis statement, cover page, font size, double space, etc.). Your poster must be the size of 1 posterboard (cartulina). Please don't use butcher paper (rotafolio). The deadline for your project is Friday, April 3rd (the day of the exam). We will post them in your classroom, so make sure you bring tape as well.

For your exam, you must know the 3 different ways of writing thesis statements for the 3 types of essays we discussed this partial (pages 80, 90, and 102). You must also know the transitional phrases that you can use when writing these types of essays.

I guess that's pretty much it. Have fun with your posters, and good luck!
